Gary D. Gaddy is a North Carolina writer. His columns, written primarily between the late 2000s and early 2010s, reflect a deep interest in public life, communication, and the way people think about the world around them. He holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master’s degree in Communication from Regent University.
This site brings together a collection of his columns from that period. The topics range from politics and economics to Chapel Hill sports and everyday life.
Many of these columns explore questions of faith, personal responsibility, and human behavior. They reflect a belief that how people treat one another, and how they think about right and wrong, matters just as much as the events being discussed.
From time to time, the writing takes a more humorous or satirical turn. These pieces offer a lighter perspective while still pointing to larger truths about society and human nature.
Together, these columns represent a snapshot of a particular time while continuing to raise questions and ideas that remain relevant today.
